介绍但不推荐2个3D printer和1个CNC machine

1. Creality Ender pro 3D printer

 

I bought it as a kit. It took me around 11 hours to assemble it.

Pro:

a. This is one piece machine. You could hold it with one hand and move it around.

b. You don't need a computer to use it.

c. You could download any STL file from the web and you could print immediately.

d. Their service is very nice. The person I was writing to was highly trained.

Con:

The printed products are very soft, you could easily smash them with just two fingers.

2. Prusa 3D printer mini

I bought it as an assembled one, it still took me more than 2 hours to assemble.

Pro:

a. Prusa's 3D printer is highly rated in "Make" magazine.

b. Printed products are pretty and solid, I guess, you might have to use a hammer to destroy any one of them.

Con:

a. The machine consists 3 parts. You could not hold the machine with one hand and move it around.

b. The filament was broken so often during printing that I started to hate the printer.  Very poor design in gears for feeding the filament.

 

c. Very poor service. I emailed them more than 10 times, they could not solve my problems. And then the person I was talking with disappeared suddenly for good.

d. You could not download a STL file from the web and print immediately in this machine. You have to do something (I don't know what).

 

3. CNC machine：

I could not find the brand name of this machine (bought new on ebay  before covid 19 and there is no ordering history for that year any more). 

Pro:

Very easy to use, without any learning curve.

Con:

a. You have to use a computer connedted with a USB cable to work with it.  

b. The materials you are working with could not be fixed on the machine steadily.

c. The chuck from the motor of Z-axis could not hold the bit (for carving the copper on PCB ) steadily due to the thin axle of the motor).
