Gloria Vanderbilt passed away.

What an American story and what an American fashion icon. The Vanderbilt family funded the famous Vanderbilt University, and Gloria Vanderbilt created the 1st jeans in America.

Her son, Anderson Cooper, a CNN anchor made and narranated his mom's story. I could hear he's crying in his voice at the end.  His father died when he was only 5, and his mom raised him alone.   Anderson Cooper had a very close relationship with his mom.  Gloria Vanderbilt died of stomach cancer at age 95.
