我亲身经历的2015 Special Olympics World Games (智障奥运会) (1)

我们都知道，现代奥运会有夏季奥运会 (Summer Olympic Games) 和冬季奥运会（Winter Olympic Games）。我们大部分人还知道有残疾人运动会 (Paralympic Games)，但我想知道Special Olympics World Games的人并不多。

Special Olympics World Games 是专门为有智力障碍的运动员举行的世界运动会，项目类似正常奥运会，而且也分冬夏两届。第一届夏季特殊奥运会于1968年在美国芝加哥举行，第一届冬季特奥会于1977年2月在Steamboat Springs, Colorado, US举行。相继举办过特奥会的城市包括 Salzburg and Schladming, Austria (1993), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA (1999), Athens, Greece(2011)，PyeongChang, South Korea (2013)。

The 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games are being held in Los Angeles, California from July 25 – Aug. 2, 2015。这是在1999年Raleigh, North Carolina夏季特奥会16年后，夏季特奥会第一次回到美国举办。举办本届开幕式的Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum曾经举办过1932和1984年奥运会。我想1984年洛杉矶奥运会是我们很多人第一次从电视上看到现场直播的奥运会。

智障是我们全人类需要集体面对的残缺。那些不幸天生智障的人们，为人类的不幸承担终身的困扰。为了表达我对智障的关注，我作为观众特意参加了7月25日在洛杉矶举办的2015夏季特奥会开幕式，并在7月26日观看了这届特奥会的部分足球比赛。

Obama总统发表了录像讲话，第一夫人Michelle Obama亲临开幕式讲话并代表Obama总统宣布本届特奥会开始。参加本届开幕式的还有Stevie Wonder, Maria Shriver, Michael Phelbs, Michelle Kwan, Eva Longoria, Ed Harris, Aviril Lavigne等。一开始的名人出席名单里还有姚明，可惜没有看到他出现。

要说的话很多很多，但我最大的感受就是感动，为人类对智障人士的关爱感动。这届，来自世界各地的智障运动员有约6，500人，教练2，000人。预计整个赛事，义工30，000人，观众500，000人。
