White Dust

White Dust

 

Dancing in the wind is the white dust,

lighter than a hummingbird’s feathers,

though once was burdened by greed and lust, 

and constantly measured,

by a scale named Just.

Once was covered by colorful disguise,

despite a silent longing to exchange trust.  

The colorful dust suffocates noses and eyes,

and the innocent voices were hushed and crushed. 

Asleep in ritual and silky compromise,

till a blue flame wakes up the white dust.
