A Moon and Flower Night of The Spring River

春江潮水连海平
Tidewater of the spring river connects the sea smooth in sight
海上明月共潮生
The moon is born with the tides brilliant and bright,
滟滟随波千万里
Following the rolling waves and casting moonlight over ten thousand miles,
何处春江无月明
Which part of the spring river is not covered with bright moonlight?
江流宛转绕芳甸
Around the fragrant marshland the river streams are zigzagging,
月照花林皆似霰
Flowers are like snowflakes as moonlight on the flower wood is pouring.
空里流霜不觉飞
The flying hoarfrosts in the air have not been felt
汀上白沙看不见
The white sands on the beach can not be seen.
江天一色无纤尘
The river and the sky have the same color without any stain,
皎皎空中孤月轮
The moon looks like a lonely wheel in the bright sky so plain.
江畔何人初见月
By the riverside who saw the moon for the first time?
江月何年初照人
By the riverside when the moon first shone upon a man?
人生代代无穷已
Human exists endless generation by generation far and near,
江月年年只相似
The moon by the riverside looks similar year over year.
不知江月照何人，但见长江送流水。
I am wondering who the moon above the river is waiting for
Only see the Long River sending the running water in tear.
白云一片去悠悠，
Slowly and sadly a white cloud is flying away
青枫浦上不胜愁。
Up at the Green Maple Bank the sadness is there to stay
谁家今夜扁舟子？
Whose family does he belong to who is sailing his boat tonight
何处相思明月楼？
Which tower is full of lovesickness in the moonlit bay
可怜楼上月徘徊，
What a pity the moon is lingering upstairs of the tower,
应照离人妆镜台。
It should have been shining on the dress table of the parting fair.
玉户帘中卷不去，
She rolled up the curtain but not able to roll up the moonlight,
捣衣砧上拂还来。
Brushed away from the hammering-cloth anvil but it was back there.
此时相望不相闻，
Now she and he look at each other but cannot hear the voices,
愿逐月华流照君。
To chase the moonlight to shine on her beloved one she wishes.
鸿雁长飞光不度，
Message-bearing swans fly long distance but can not reach the moon,
鱼龙潜跃水成文。
Fishes like dragons jump in and out of water with only ripples and noises.
昨夜闲潭梦落花，
Dreamed of the falling flowers in the idling pond last night as a guest
可怜春半不还家。
It's a pity still not returning home as half of the spring has passed
江水流春去欲尽，
The spring passes in the river streams and is almost all gone,
江潭落月复西斜。
The declining moon over the river pond is falling to the west.
斜月沉沉藏海雾，
The declining moon sinks and hides into heavy mists of the seas;
碣石潇湘无限路。
Between Mount Jieshi and Xiao Xiang rivers there is endless distances.
不知乘月几人归，
Not know How many have returned home by riding the moon tonight,
落月摇情满江树。
The falling moon shakes the emotions with the whole river and trees.
