马铃搖碎夜，何往蹊跷行？千树都无语，软风吹雪轻。

寒砚的白话翻译：

He gives his harness bells a shake,              它轻摇身上的铃铛，
To ask if there is some mistake.                   想知道是否一切如常。
The only other sound's the sweep,               林中除了凄风细雪，
Of easy wind and downy flake.                      再无其它声响。
