-If the parents are in US, they can file I-485 concurrently with I-130 filing and may get the green card within one year. If they are in Canada, they need to apply for immigration visa. The whole process may take one year to two years, case by case.

-Have to have enough income to sponsor the parents.

-No. If the parents work in US, their income can be used for their green card application, thus it will be fine even if the child does not have a job/income.
