Meaning:

Elevator Pitch refers to a succinct and persuasive summary designed to spark

interest in an idea, project, product, or person.

 

Usage:

 

You might use an elevator pitch in situations like job interviews, networking

events, or chance meetings with potential investors or collaborators to quickly

convey the essence and value of what you're offering or seeking.

 

   Dave, I'm running short on time, let me have the Elevator Pitch and I'll see

I remembered a few elevator pitches in a previous life and felt that they were

not a special skill. Any observant person can be motivated to speak up and

propose some worthy project. Often, they are met with lukewarm enthusiasm,

outright rejection, or open ridicule. The key is not to take it personally, not

let the fear of failure get in the way, and to keep practicing and improving the

chances. It's also important to, as Charlie Munger used to say, have more than

one good ideas. Given enough tries, they will work.
