自嘲

运交华盖欲何求¹，未敢翻身已碰头。

破帽遮颜过闹市²，漏船载酒泛中流³。

横眉冷对千夫指⁴，俯首甘为孺子牛⁵。

躲进小楼成一统⁶，管他冬夏与春秋⁷。

 

白话译文

交了不好的运气我又能怎么办呢？想摆脱却被碰得头破血流。

破帽遮脸穿过热闹的集市，像用漏船载酒驶于水中一样危险。

横眉怒对那些丧尽天良、千夫所指的人，俯下身子甘愿为老百姓做孺子牛。

坚守自己的志向和立场永不改变，不管外面的环境发生怎样的变化。^{[2]  [3]}

 

Bad luck has got in me, but what can I do?

Getting rid of it can turn my forehead black and blue.

Passing through the busy market in a shabby hat

which I use to cover my face not only my head,

is a dangerous thing to do, as if a leaking boat runs through

the water carrying wine that is just brewed.

I roll my eyes at those who are heartless,

 and bow to  people who appreciate my service.

 To my beliefs and faith, I am holding them tight,

 no matter what will happen to the world outside.
