I like Deng!

I am not sure how old you are. But for me, I didn't have enough food, and received bad education in elementary school in Mao's time (and so I don't laugh at the Peking U's president). 

In Deng's time of 1980s, I had enough food and peaceful time to finish my education.

You may be correct that China's econmoy grows fast in the last ten years. My understanding is that Deng, Jiang, and Hu's time already formed a good foundation. So you could not use today number to compare the previous numbers. Times are different. 

Xi only takes the advantage of the former generations. If he has any contributions, you could argue that he stops some corruptions. But he destroys the constitution and the Chinese may have to eat the bitter fruit in 30 - 40 years or even sooner. Compared with the destruction of the constitution, I don't see Xi has much contribution.

If one could guarantee that Xi's behavior will not bring disater for the country, I would agree that Xi is not that bad.

The problem is that no can guarantee it. That is why people need a good constitution like the one that US has.

Of course, if you believe Xi is good, it is up to you. I am not going to argue with you, just say a few words what I feel.
