NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Credit markets again focused on Washington Thursday, as a strong seven-year note auction galvanized Treasurys while lawmakers questioned Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke over the Fed's role in Bank of America's Merrill Lynch acquisition.
While the high-yield market continued to see new deals Thursday, its three-month rally appears to have officially ended, as high-yield funds reported a net weekly outflow for the first time since March, while junk-bond prices have fallen in recent days.
