I was impressed by the speed and convience this summer.  I had to travel from Xian to Xushou in a few hours for a pre-arranged seminar presentation in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, there was no direct flight between the two cities and it took about 9 hours for the fastest train to get there.  My friend suggested me to fly from Xian to Nanjing and then to take Gaotie from Nanjing to Xuzhou.  Even unsure about anything, I was lucky to get the train tickets at Nanjing Gaotie station only 9 minutes before the departure of the speed train.  The train was exact on time and took only a little more than one hour to arrive Xuzhou.  It still left one hour preparation time for me before my presentation time.

However, I was disappointed with the worksmanship of the furnitures inside the train.  The train had been in service only less than 2 years.  Some of the chairs were in poor shape now. When I asked why, my friends told me why the Gaotie made "Liu Zhijun".
