I know the speed difference.  But think about Jap side, why they send F15 for this purpose.  In Diaoyu area, Jap's coast guard ships even did not dare to hit Chinese ships.  Apparently, they are afraid of causing any potential military conflicts.  They definitely know sending military fighters to scare off civilian Y-12 is useless in this case unless they want to fire on Y-12.  Why they did?  We should ask ourselves.
