and they, just like us since our admission into the WTO, has been major foreign buyers of US debt.

Now both Japan and China are running greatly reduced trade surpluses, and sometimes even deficits, the support for the US debt market from these two foreign buyers are no longer there: no more trade surpluses to be recycled into US debt.

At the same time, the US government is running ever higher deficits. So who is left to buy the US debt?  The Federal Reserve Bank, that's who.

The US dollar is doomed to fail due to unending monetisation of debt by its central bank the FED.
