People may recall the cold war between the US and former Soviet Union in 1970s to 1980s. Fortunately, it ended after the union collapsed in early 1990s. Ever since, the US has become the sole superpower, dominating globally in economy, politics, social and military aspects. Nobody can challenge this situation for a long time, although many newly emerging economic bodies like China, India, Brazil, Russia, South Korea and South Africa, etc., are rising as potential regional powers. These newly rising powers do not have capacities as the US play global roles in controlling the order of this chaotic world.

However, the US vice president Mike Pence seems to hold a different view. He has pointed out that a new cold war shall come if China cannot meet the demand requested by the US. This is really scaring, that may not reflect the thought of President Donald Trump who would like to ease the trade problem with China. A question arises that 'Who represents the US government?'

Fortunately, President Trump is going to meet China President Xi Jinping late this month at G20 in Argentina, discussing the on-going trade war between their countries. Obviously, they do not want to see the trade dispute uncontrolled, that would influence the global stability.

There is no reason to go back a new cold war. People in the world do not like it. They would appreciate it that the world becomes peaceful, prospective, and wealthy. Everyone deserves a better life.
