The correct title should be: what Mao had got from 1949 to 1976?

On Oct 1st 1949, Mao had got China and he was becoming an emperor. 

In 1966, many people trusted Mao although quite a few Chinese had suffered a lot under the rule of Mao. That can explain why Mao can start Culture Revolution easily.

The next 10 years was a hell for most Chinese. But how much Mao got?
