Ask for some advice for hit and run

A friend of mine hit and ran a few weeks ago in florida. She got called back from police and did a report. She was on the way to a job interview appoitment. Nobody was injured but the vehicle has minor damage. She is on depression medication. The court day is this week.

Does she need a attorney to go with her to the court?

Or she can decide if she needs one after the court?

What would happen during the court?

I know it is bad case . no excuses for hit and run. She should stop. Any advice or expeirence sharing would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
