1. 本法适用于所有在该法下成立、司法管辖权转移到本法、或是在本法下合并成立的所有股份制公司。本法也适用于其他法律框架下创建的股份制公司，如果其条文有扩充完善的必要 （这就开始无耻地标榜自己为法律先驱了，等于说“大哥可以罩你，不过你得认小“）。
如果上下文没有特别指明其他含义， 本法中 所出现的”公司“ （société/corporation）一词，就算没有性质特指词 （par actions），也意指上述公司的任何一种。 （做公司法这一行，在拿到一个case时，最先看的，就是经营实体enterprise的属性：魁省公司？联邦公司？境外注册公司？亦或是非盈利实体 （not-for-profit organization）等等。一般公司都叫corporation/company, 属性决定相应的适用法律及法律文件。而这里强调的就是，本法所用”公司“（société/corporation）一词，只限魁省股份公司）
1. La présente loi s'applique à toute société par actions constituée, continuée ou issue d'une fusion sous le régime de ses dispositions. Elle s'applique aussi à toute société par actions constituée par une autre loi ou en vertu d'une autre loi, lorsqu'il y a lieu d'en compléter les dispositions.
À moins que le contexte n'indique un sens différent, le mot «société» utilisé sans qualificatif dans la présente loi s'entend indistinctement de l'une ou l'autre de ces sociétés.
1. This Act applies to any business corporation constituted, continued or amalgamated under this Act. It also applies to any business corporation constituted by or under another Act, if necessary to complement the provisions of that Act.
Unless the context indicates otherwise, “corporation” used without a qualifier in this Act means any such business corporation.
