might be selective not talking( don't know the exact term)

My daughter talked at home, not anywhere else. She started Prk at 2. She would point, show people but never talked. When she was 5, she couldn't follow a 2 steps order and couldn't understand things her 2 years old brother could understand. She talked to herself and sung to herself, didn't look at people's eyes except me.  When I called her, she won't answer. I thought she was "zibi" and took her to see several specialists. None of them thought she was ZIBI, she just didn't want to talk and didn't want to interact with people. ( she did talked to the specialists). She even won't talk to my husband.  I would sit down with her, read and give orders and move her head to me when i talked to her. She would repeat back to me.

She is fine now, not as smart as her sisters and brother, but she is on the top her class. But she is only a second grader, so it doesn't mean anything. For her, we are lucky, she just out grow it. Her voice is very low, but she raises her hand all the time. So the teachers don't thinkk she is shy. We are still working on it.
