This book helps me understand why toddlers throw tantrum and how to use parents' strategies to deal with it. It is a book for helping parents to practice not only musical instrument with kids, but also practicing good parenting. It's not a book of theory but of everyday problem solving. Because in order to get a young child to practice playing a violin or piano daily you must understand children psychology very well. It works on parenting in general as well. My daughter has the same needs as the other three years old, I discovered. She likes to pick very small things to fight on, such as what color shoes to wear before going to nursery school. After reading a section of the book I understand what she really needs is to have control over her life. However trivial it might look to us, it's part of her life she can have some say. There's a correct way to deal with such daily fights, and many wrong ways too. Sometimes it's very tricky, sometimes very straightforward.
