"Red is the East, Rises the Sun ..."

The  red sky this morning reminds me how my poor English had been learned in those years.

虽然是生长在贫穷的大巴山农村，阴差阳错地是我上的学校都还算是本地不错的。在那年代初中能从ABCD开始学英语，也算很很幸运了（托我祖爷爷，爷爷在本地带头办学的福吧）。“Red is the East, ..." 也大概是初中学的最难的句子了。进高中因为要照顾其他学校来的没学过英语的同学，又从ABCD开始, 又是“Red is the East"。大学同样ABCD, 不过没学“Red is ..."。 三次学英语的共同点：都是四川老师，都从俄语转行，都只教语法不教说。出国外语培训时的中国通外教一句话让我心哇凉哇凉地“Your Sichuan people can not speak good English!"。我这住在与四川搭界的陕西娃难道也为四川人背锅？

四川朋友不要生气，难道川外教的就不是英语？

出国一年后，导师带我去国际学生部查我的托福成绩，又丢下一句现在也忘不了的话“Your English does not sound like you scored 600+ in TOEFL!"
