Some years ago, I worked with an Indian manager who had a lot of issues with his attitude regarding to work and people. We all wanted to fire him but were reluctant since he recently had a baby, bought a house, etc. and his wife was not working. Finally the moment came, one day during a meeting with the management, while not happy with certain pressure, he blurted out the word ‘quit’. Our CEO picked it up immediately, ‘we accept your resignation’. The guy’s face turned purple and he was courted out the office building…

A couple of years later, someone forwarded me an email from him who was looking for me to provide a reference…
