When China holds $1trillion US treasury bonds, the US treasury owes $1trillion US dollars to China.

When the US treasury paid China $1trillion dollars, the USA as a country owes China $1trillion worth of goods/services/assets.

Using fiat currency to paid debt does not clear the debt, it merely shifts the debt around: from US treasury to the USA country in the above instance.

If the US treasury paid China $1trillion in gold, the debt of $1trillion is cleared: there are no more liabilities outstanding from this $1trillion bond.

Gold: the ultimate payment, the ultimate settlement, the ultimate debt clearance.

Every possible solution imaginable will be tried and experimented with in an effort to solve this debt crisis.

The world will eventually return to gold after all else have been tried and failed.

And the world, led by the US FED, has basically tried all they can by now. Nothing worked.

Central banks around the world, the ones not at the centre of the current system, are buying gold hand over fist.

"He who has the gold makes the rules".
Oh, and you need guns too, big guns, to be able to make your rules.
Without big guns, your gold will become others' gold in no time.
And once you have gold, and big guns, you make the rules, you are the game in town, and others will come.
