1. 我目前在美国拿F1学生签证读硕士，现在在美国已经待了6个月以上（2015.8- ），依照移民局要求应该要开具police certificate。但是我上网查了一下，说分为很多种，有city的，state的，和national的。越往后的种类开的时间越久。但是看到NVC上面有一段话
Note: Present and former residents of the United States do NOT need to submit any U.S. police certificates.
请问这里的resident可以指像我这样的拿F-1过来读书的学生吗？
-Yes.
我已经办好了中国的无犯罪证明（出生至今），那是否代表我不需要办US的无犯罪证明了？
-You may just get one from the local US Police Department (County, not Cilty), just in case. It is very easy to get it, anyway.
2. 我的大姨是petitioner，母亲是主要申请人，父亲和我是company，已经提交了DS-260表格。父亲的党员身份令我们很担心。他是处级干部，并且是分管propaganda。在“是否是党员底下”一栏底下我们如实打了钩，但是在底下的complain里面填写得太过简略，就说了是因为获得更好工作才入党，

且在出国之前会辞去党员身份，并没有很详细的解释。请问还需要再解释一下吗？
-No, but if he can get a letter from the local Party Branch Secretary (or his former Party comrade) to verify the withdrawal of his Party membership, that will be very helpful.
比如发一份解释信给NVC？
-Not need, and just provide the explanation and membership withdrawal proof (if any) to the VO officer during his visa ineterview.
3. 父亲的党员干部身份是否对全家移民造成很大影响？
-No.
还是只会影响父亲移民？
-Yes, if any.
4. 听说面试的时候VO会给一封类似自愿退党的保证书签字？请问是否属实？
-No. 自愿退党 application should be submitted to the Party Organization. The VO only needs the 自愿退党 proof, if any.
只要签字了再重新审理就可以避免党员身份阻碍移民了吗？
5. 因为暑假要跟教授做研究的关系，我不能回国太久，请问把父亲党员因素考虑在内，整个体检+面试+等待批复到最后收到护照可以来美国大概需要多长时间？
-It is hard to say, case by case. You may not need to go back to China until you receive the Visa inetrview Appointment Notice from NVC or the US Consulate.
