我父亲绿卡在美生活不习惯，七年前回国后没有再返美。今年要请他来美旅游，主要是想见见孙辈。给他买了往返机票，定了酒店。这种情况入境美国会有问题吗？

-The green card is void. Your father had better abandon the green card at any one of the US Consulates in China, and then apply for B-2 visa to visit US at the same time or later.

听说这样的在海关要碰运气，可能会没收绿卡，转成10年旅游签证。有没有可能根本不让入境？他确是不打算在美常住，只要偶尔能来看看就行。有什么办法可以保证入境吗？ 谢了。
