2016年11月初绿卡满足5年，由于家庭原因想尽快回去，希望孩子能在9月份在国内上学，但同时想给自己留条后路，以后能返回美国，所以请教大家怎样办比较好。
根据我的理解，我应该8月初可以提交申请，但是在5月初到8月提交的3个月都必须在美国。如果是这样，

我能不能8月初交了申请后在等待通知的期间带孩子回国帮他们办理入学手续，然后赶紧回美国等待？
-Yes. As long as you do not miss the interview and/or biometrics appointment, you will be fine. But don't stay outside US for > 6 months continuously before you get the US citizenship.
如果现在不申请，要保持绿卡，是不是每年要回美国两次，等以后再说？
-It will not work.
这样每年回美两次连续几年也能保持绿卡吗？
还是有其他办法，办理什么证件保持绿卡，又不需要每年回美两次？
-Apply for reentry permit which will allow you to stay in China for > one year < two years. You can come back to US to reenew the reentry permit at leas one time.
