请问8老师，申请美国公民背景调查

请问8老师，我是绿卡持有者，在申请美国公民，申请材料递交上去后已经半年了。

最近请州议员查询后得到以下回复：

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter.  U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that your constituent’s case is pending background check clearance. 

 

请问8老师是否知道一般来说，背景调查需要多长时间？我在北卡州。非常感谢！
