1) When we know we cannot get the document within 87 days and decide not to leave US, should we send a letter to USCIS to explain that we need more time to get the document?
2) My father's name in Chinese passport is spelled in Pinyin. Although my father has not changed his Chinese name, the spelling of his name in Roman character when he was in Indonesia are different. It was spelled based on the pronouciation of fujian dialect. So if we can find his birth certificate, the name will be different from his name on passport. How should we prove to USCIS the 2 spelling are the cultural variation of the same name?
