回复：请教各位老师，美国境内COS, F2 TO F1, 如果开学之后才拿到approve该怎么办?

准备COS, F2 TO F1，可是境内可能要三个月，估计会错过4月初的开学时间了
所以请问如果开学之后才拿到APPROVE应该怎么办呢？
那个时候我不能选课，只能DEFER到夏天的学期，也就是6月开学，可是在4月到6月开学这之间我的F1身份如何维持？？
-You may request USCIS to indicate a specific effective date of the F-1 status in the cover letter. You may also annotate the I-539 with your effective date request by clearly printing "Effective [date]" in Part 2. Application Type 1.b. under "The new status I am requesting is:__________". Thus, your F-1 status will be effective on the effective date even if it is approved before that date (Your status still remains F-2 before the F-1 effective date).
