Let me try.

1. Your working experience within last 10 years will be counted as long as you can provide document about the nature of the working experience (full-time/part-time, duties, duration).

2. Tax form or W-2 can't provide the information about nature of your working experience. A professor and a cleaning staff in MIT receive similar W-2. You need to provide the information about your employment. This information can also be provided from other documents, i.e., employment contract, H1b petition letter, appointment letter, etc.
