Here is a note I saved off a while ago:

"If your green card based other than marriage to a U.S. spouse, you may apply for naturizaiton after 58 months from the date you received your permanet residency. During the past 58 months, you must have been in the U.S. for more than 30 months and there is no one single trip to abroad more than 6 months."

You might download the form (N-400?), it might tell you more detail?
