父母来美由于疫情B2逾期了，现在开始办绿卡，由于等待时间长达一年或者更多，现在有两个问题。

1. 如果绿卡pending,有没有可能申请EAD拿到SSN以后先申请医疗保险呢？

-Yes.

2. 如果绿卡pending，打过指纹之后可不可以回国呢？

-They had better not leave US until they get the green card if their overstay is more than 6 months. If it is just 3 to 4 months, they may apply for advance parole (AP) to travel to China. But don't forget that they will be interviewed for the green card application within US. So, I do not suggest they leave US before they get they green card.

AP我们是不是就不申请了，因为申请可能也没有用，因为身份已经过期，父母回国后绿卡下来了寄回去，下次用绿卡入境。

-They need to get the approved AP before they leave US. If they leave US without AP, their pending I-485 will be void immediately after they leave US.

问题是有的人有面试有的人没有，那么是不是等到面试以后回去比较安全？
