我自己的出生公证书上是显示我父亲和继母的名字，我当年办绿卡和公民的时候递交的都是这份出生公证书，没有我生母的名字。因为我很小的时候妈妈就去世了，后来出国就是拿的户口簿和身份证去办的出生公证，那时我继母早就已经在户口本上了。

关于父母结婚证，现在我们手上只有我父亲和继母的结婚证和公证书，他们结婚都已经超过40年了。父亲和生母当初的结婚证是没有办法提供的，因为实在是太久远了，另外生母在我很幼小的时候就过世了，那个年代医院开出的死亡证明在火化的时候就交给火葬场了，那个时候也不可能想到还要自己复印一份留个底，所以这两样东西实在没有办法提供。

-Just ask 当地民政部门或派处所出个证明， 然后去公证处作个公证, or just ask your friend to translate them into English.

我想请教8老师，像我这种情况，所说都是事实，也实在是没办法提供这两样文件或公证，我可不可以在递交文件的时候附带一封LETTER OF EXPLANATION 解释我为什么没有办法提供这两样，我也不想撒谎隐瞒任何事情。还是说先不管，等移民局如果发信要求提供这两样东西的时候再递交解释信。

-The problem is that there are your father's and your stepmother's names in your birth certificate and you have used it for your green card and US citizenship application. That means your stepmother was recorded as your biological mother in the USCIS system. So, if you report your biological mother in your father's and your stepmother's green card applications, it will be not conistent with the information in your birth certificate. What was your age when your father married your stepmother?

还有一个问题就是如果美国境内申请，是不是就不用提供国内的无犯罪证明？
