最近托国内朋友帮父母办了出生公证，发现我父亲的公证有问题。我父亲的生母在他很年幼的时候（解放前）就去世了，所以是和父亲，继母长大。可能因为生母啥信息都查不到，所以这次公证书上母亲的名字写的是继母的名字。但问题是我以前给我爸申请美国探亲签证时填的都是他生母的名字。

所以我现在要担保他们移民，这个公证书是不是不能用？写个说明材料会有用吗，怎么写？

-He had better re-do the birth certificate notarization to put his biologiccal parents' names on the birht certificate. Birht certificate needs to have the parents' names, date of birth and place of birth. That is all. So, your father's birht certificate just needs to have his both parents' names only, not need any extra information about his parents.
