我孩子读大学F1签证今年5月18日到期，但是护照上面的visa戳是写7/18到期，他是加拿大籍。(他没有找工作，想在美国先练球然后转职业)。请问他需要马上离境还是可以等到7/18日前离境？可以人呆在在美国境内，转成B1签证吗？非常感谢！

-The expiration date of the visa stamp on the passport is irrelevant to his legal stay in US. Your kid has the F-1 grace period of 60 days from the day he graduated or from the day his I-20 expired, whichever was first. He can legally stay in US or change his status to B2 status or other non-immigrant status during the F-1 grace period. He may ask the International Student Office if he has a question about his F-1 grace period.
