我爱人7月初持移民签证入境，入境后拿到寄来的正式绿卡，住了一个月，于7月底回中国。她将于12月底再次以绿卡入境美国，其间在美国境外5个月。这次入境是准备长期居住了。

-Don't think so. If the IO asks why she visited China immediately after entering US using the immigrant visa, then she may just explain to the IO that she just needed to visit China to deal with some issues because she entered to US too rush after she got the immigrant visa.
我们听说境外停留时间长短很重要："停留超过6个月，但少于一年，有可能在入境时被海关口头警告并在护照上加注(ARC 6 mos)，提醒下次入境的官员注意"。不知道5个月有没有麻烦 ？
