请教8老师, 我儿子(Canada citizen)马上要去NY上学，他本来是在我E2 status的名下，这几年一直在Florida住。我的E2是今年10月份到期。如果在美国境内转F1 status,听说要等10个月。在等待时间可以合法上大学吗？

学校建议出境再入境。加拿大人只要I20就可以进来,不需要VISA。
