我的情况：我已绿卡（EB2, NIW）；爱人在国内。
我结婚是在我获得绿卡之前，所以给爱人办理的是follow-to-join, 已预约广州领事馆面试申请移民签证（签证类别:E21, 签证申请归类： All IV）。
面试准备材料中要求: Affidavits of Financial Support: For employment (E) visa categories: Provide an original job offer letter from the petitioning business signed within the past year. A Form I-864 and the most recent available taxes returns with supporting documents are also required if a relative is the petitioner (or) has a 5% or more ownership interest in the petitioning business.
请问：
1. 我在大学里做科研，这个是否要求我(Petitioner)的雇主（大学）出具我的Original job offer letter ?
-You had better provide the employment verification letter from your employer (HR Director) addressing that you are employed at this university beginning what date, job duties, salary, etc.
2. 学校只能出具Employment verification letter （说Job offer letter 招人的时候才用, 招我的时候都几年前的事了）。 这儿能用Employment Verification letter 代替吗？-Yes. That is better than offer letter.
3. 我需要填I-864表吗？（不需要吧，我只是一个雇员，并不拥有雇佣我的大学5%以上的所有权，我的理解，不知是否对错，请指正）。
-No. You do not need to provide I-864 because your case is employment-based. Explain this in the letter.
