我原来在industry工作过4年8个月，用的cap H1，没申请过140，然后我回国工作了一
年，又回来读了一个master，因为我原来h1 只剩下一年多一点，也没有140，不能延期，
所以我就去了大学工作（不需要quota），快3年了，我申请了140，批了一年多了，现在我在想 我可不可以用我原来的cap h1 回到industry工作， 因为我有140了?

You can use the left time of old H-1 and extend it beyond the 6-year limit using the approved I-140 at the same time (i.e. you can ask for another 3-year term when your employer files H-1 petition for you).
