我的好朋友的父亲绿卡离开美国4年后如何入关？ 他没有申请AP,  也没有报税和拥有房产。 他妈妈是绿卡倒是每年都过来。他父亲原来是想离开美国后就不再回来了。现在又想回来看看。我想到唯一的理由就是身体原因： 他在国内生病住院过几次。如果这个理由可以被接受， 需要什么样的证明材料？

或者说不填写那个放弃绿卡的表格， 回来后打官司？他这次来也没有想在这里待一辈子，但是有个绿卡就有医保（在加州），在美国这段时间放心一些. 谢谢！
-His green card has been void and thus, he cannot use it to reenter US. He had better abandon his green card in any one of the US Consulates in China, and then, apply for the B-2 visa at the same time or later, and use B-2 visa to enter US.
