父母今年十月会来美探亲。我准备在父母来美三个月后为他们申请绿卡.
我父母现在在中国需要准备以下文件, 对吗:
  • My birth certificate with both parents' names
  • Relationship Certification (to prove ABC is XYZ’s mom and to prove DEF is XYZ’s father, XYZ is me)
  • My parents' Marriage Certificate

请问

  1. 我父母需要以下文件吗?
  • 未刑公证
  • -Not need it for I-485 filing unless their fingerprinting fails.
  •  
  • 他们的birth certificate

 

  1. 我遗漏了什么文件吗?-Their marriage certificate. If the 户口本 has your name, your parents' names there, you had better do the 户口本公证。 I have seen some IO asked for this document because they may not trust the Chinese people's birth certificates from Mainland China (出生公证).

 

  1. 我结婚后改了Last Name，公民证和结婚证上都有我 Birth Name. 公民证和结婚证是否足够证明XYT (婚后名) was XYZ(出生名)?-I think so. But you had better also provide the name change document, just in case.

 

  1. My parents' Marriage Certificate – Is that just for my father's I-130 only? My mom's I-130 does not need it, correct?-Correct.
