Hi teacher 8, can you please let me know if I am submitting I 864 for my parents but I haven't filed the tax return for 2016, which year should I fill out as "the most recent tax year"? If it's still 2016, should I check no tax return and then explain it in the additional info page and attach my W2 as prove of income?
And just want to confirm, if my income is enough for the sponsorship, even my status is married and tax return is filed jointly, I don't have to include my spouse in the calculation of household size?
