-It seems the lawyer don't really understand your situation. Your L-1B approval notice has expired, how can you work? You can not take advanage of the USCIS mistakes. Otherwise, they will find it later and give you rbig trouble.

现在有个新情况：

我在5年的L1B期间，有断断续续大约420天不在美国境内，是否可以递交材料要求我的L1B继续延期420天，可行吗？

-Yes. You can file extension of your L1B for another 420 days.

如何操作？

-Provide the evidence of your absence from US (i.e. your livling in China) during tha period of time, e.g. the entry/departure stamps on your passport from the Chinese Cunstoms officer and the US CBP officer at the port of entry, your air plan boarding card/evidence, etc. Talk to your lawyer.
