我在国内短婚一次，后来离婚后来美国
现在提交了I485，收到了要求证明离婚的RFE，我手头的文件是一份国内法院出具的“民事调解书”，于是委托国内的朋友在国内的公证处做了翻译公证。
发回来以后，发现民事调解书的最后一句“本调解书经双方当事人签收后，即具有法律效力。”这一句被翻译为“This certificate shall carry the legal force by the day it is signed and received by the two parties.”
我现在很担心，这种英文翻译会不会被uscis理解为："双方在调解书上签字并接受“。而调解书上并没有双方签名，本来就是信封里寄来的。
其实在中文语境里，“签收”本来指的就是接受了这份调解书，我不记得当时有过签字。
本来委托的公证处不愿意修改翻译，也不愿意给办离婚公证。
诚心求助大家指点，前面由于搬家和托人办事的缘故已经耽误了两个月，很快就必须要把RFE发回去了，很紧张。
-You may just send what you have. By the way, some people have experience that some IO at USCIS do not know what "离婚民事调解书”mean, adn may ask you to provide the 法院出具的离婚判决书。So, you may write a letter to explain that the function of 离婚民事调解书 quals to 离婚判决书. Then, print out the Englsih vrsion of Chinese Marriage Law and higlight the related section/sentences of "Chapter IV Divorce", and then enclose this printed secton with your letter and document for the RFE response.
