謝謝8老師，還有點疑問：我在8月份回國後回美時，我的舊H1還在有效期，為什麽入境時一定要用新的？
-If you only use the old H-1 approval notice to enter US, then the expiration date your new I-94 whihc you get at the port of entry will be the same expiration date of your old H-1 apporval notice. Thus, you will have to ask the employer to file the H-1 extenstion again because the I-94 you get at the port of entry when you enter US will override the I-94 of the new H-1 approval notice which you just got by the H-1 extension.
Talk to your lawyer.
因為我的護照在2018年到期，聽說如果這次我用新的，那麽入境時給的新I94有效期隻能到2018年。謝謝。
-It is possible. If so, after you get the new passport, you can go to China (or Canada) and reenter US to get the new H-1 I-94 which duration will be the same as the H-1 approval notice. Or Just file H-1 extension again.
