刚刚的事。一博士后是加拿大公民拿TN在大学做fellow，她拿假期3周，先回加拿大，明天启程，在加拿大一周后从加飞到弗罗里达并逗留一周后再回加拿大， 假期完后再回来工作。她问我在假期的第二周过境入美时应当用TN身份还是一般旅游访问者的身份？她的想法是不要在入境记录上留下不当记录，假期第二周入境时旅游不是工作是不是不应当使用TN的身份？我不懂，打电话给大学移民办公室的人也说不清楚。这里的朋友谁能给出个建议。谢谢。
-Depends on whether your school/employer pay you salary during the Holdiay vacation (normally you should get paid for the National Holiday). If yes, you need to use TN status (get TN I-94 at the port of entry). Otherwise, you may just use the passport to enter US as a tourist for the short visit.
