-It depends on whether you are qualified for N-470 filing. If you are qualified for N-470 filing, it will not affect it (it is equal to your stay in US). But you still need to apply for the reentry permit (RP) to stay outside US no matter whether you file N-470 or not. RP can allow you to stay outside US for maximum two years, and you can come back to US to renew it before it expires.
