我太太去年递交了I-485 (follow-to-join)，然后申请到AP后带小孩回国。目前485还在等待中，AP今年10月份过期，关于AP延期，请问：


AP延期申请人必须在美国才能递交吗？

如果是
递交了AP申请是否必须等待AP获批曾能离开美国？
-Yes. If it is urgent, she can try to get the emergency AP in the local USCIS Officer.


我们希望太太来美国递交AP延期申请后就回国，带小孩来回太实在折腾了。不知道是不是可行，会不会影响绿卡申请。


咨询了公司的律师，他说延期AP申请人必须在美国，但对于是不是必须等待AP获批才能回国不太肯定。
