I first came here as a J-1 visitor. Later I got a waiver. Now I have a question regarding Question 11, which is about the J-1 visa on the I-485 form, I  should answer 'Yes', right? I should also explain it, right? If so, where should I explain it?

But my lawyer replied:
Question 11 is about your J-1 visa.  Since you have a J waiver approval, you can answer question 11 "no". Question 11 is about your J-1 visa.  Since you have a J waiver approval, you can answer question 11 "no".
