急问关于父母绿卡出生证和婚姻公证

去年6月递交的，一直无消息，这两天收到通知，要求交两人的出生和婚姻公证，原文如下
Please submit a certificed copy of the birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority for the applicant ****. ALso submit a certified copy of the marriage certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority for *** and ***. Any foreign language documents must be accompanied by a complete English translation.
在这封信的开头还有一段小字。A foreign document must be accompanied by a translation in English. The translator must certify that he/she is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.
在我们 去年交的材料中，就和大部分父母一样，我们就是 交了国内公证处办的出生公证和英文翻译，原始结婚证没有了，就交的公证处办的婚姻公证和英文翻译。这种情况我们应该怎么半呢？是不是因为翻译是中国的，没有说明the translator must certify that he/she is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate?只给了我们几天的时间来处理，请大家帮忙提提建议
